Restaurant Allocation on Britannia

Hi, first P&O cruise this June would like to know how restaurant is allocated, is it by type of cabin, deck etc.

Barry

Not 100% sure. Are you set dining or freedom dining? Obviously you will be allocated a dining room according to this choice and then I am guessing that it may be down to location to your cabin. I may be wrong re the last part though. :)

Presto2 & Penn bank thanks for your answers. We have selected 6.30 table for 6 on booking we are on B deck and wondered which MDR we would be allocated

Sorry, have only ever done freedom dining so am not sure how it works for set dining times. Am sure that someone on here may be able to help you.

Whatever, happy cruising - we loved Britannia.

Broomboy There is only 1 restaurant for fixed Dining time That is The Oriental (Deck 6 Aft) unless you have booked a suite, Then you can use The Epicurean for Breakfast

see The copy of Horizon for other venues and times. The times do vary slightly on a daily basis.

Supered and Pennbank: Thank you both for your answers. This would appear to be an all roundview from the stern so more appealing to the other restaurants. Pennbank, just have a balcony! But am still excited to be a "first timer" with P&O. to the Canneries in June.

Broomboy1948, the windows in the Oriental restaurant are relatively small (not like the massive picture windows on some ships) and covered by thick net curtains (at least in the evening - never dined there during the day). We had a table by a window, but were positioned so we couldn't see a thing anyway.

One of the best places in my opinion to have views whilst eating is the Beachhouse.

It does mean paying a cover charge, so you could not do it every night but we were travelling through the Norwegian fjords last week and the views were great.
