Hello everyone,

Do you know if we take the train from Anchorage to Seward, is the train station in Seward far from the port to take the HAL Cruise? Do we have to take a taxi? if so, how much could it be?

Thanks !

You can walk, if you pack light, have no mobility limitations, and have quality sturdy luggage. Cabs are less than $10

BUT- if you haven't been there before- this area is a gem for activities. I never recommend people rush to get on a ship. :) http://www.seward.com

With so much time between the train's arrival and the ship's departure, you have a lot of time to explore Seward. The train will check your luggage right to your stateroom. When I did this (Celebrity), I walked from the train to the ship, checked in, dropped off my carry on luggage on board, grabbed a very quick bite to eat then went back out to explore. I think that time I went to Exit Glacier with Exit Glacier Guides. But you could take a Kenai Fjords tour, visit the Sealife Center or do much more.
