2 Days in Port - Cabo vs. PV?

I am getting ready to book a MR cruise on Miracle for next February. Depending on which week we book for, we will 2 days at port either in PV or Cabo. It will be myself, hubby, and our son, who will be 7. We're not major adventurers. Prefer to do a little exploring, and plan for a good amount of beach time. We've also talked about possibly doing a AI day pass one day (I've briefly looked into the Crown Paradise Club for this...). Opinions on which would be a better port to have that extra day to do things, please?

Hands down......PV.

Cabo is two days, PV is two days PLUS one night.

This gives you the opportunity to do the Rhythm's of the Night excursion. 7 yr old will love this. About a 45 minute boat ride, dinner, and a show with lots of fire and animal characters. (This departs right from the cruise ship dock)

NO QUESTION!!!! Puerto Vallarta is the ONLY place to be for 2 days! Cabo is great for an AI but that's pretty much ALL it's good for. Plus you will have to tender to and from the ship.

In PV you can take cabs or buses (only 7.5 peso a person and SAFE!) all around town. You can go to the Malecon and walk day and night and see all kinds of entertainment, restaurants, shopping, beaches and if you go south of there over the pedestrian bridge you will enter Zona Romantica, also known as Old Town, where most people live and there is a park that has farmers market on Saturdays or other festivals on many other days. You can walk along Los Muertos Beach to the pier and see MANY restaurants that have beach loungers/chairs/palapas where you can sit all day or just enjoy a quick bite. You can walk Olas Altas and Basilio Badillio through nice neighborhoods with art galleries and great shopping and restaurants.

There are also so many things to do in PV to experience REAL Mexico vs a port city made for rich people with very little culture like Cabo.

ENJOY PV!!!
