Help me pick a deck/room on Vista!!

The casino is forward on deck 4, so if the OP wants to be close to it and the main pool, I would suggest a mid ship to forward cabin anywhere on deck 7 or 8. The Havana cabins are way aft, no where close to where the OP wants to be.

Be VERY careful on the forward/midship parts of those decks due to the IMAX theatre. Cabins all around have terrible noise. I was walking through the hall on 7 while a movie was playing and the noise along with the vibration was insane. You couldn't pay me to stay in one of those cabins.

Don't worry, I won't pay your fare. LOL

I never noticed any noise from the theaters even when waiting in line for the next show or just walking by that area

The movies end before midnight don't they?

Well dang! [emoji23].

OMG it was horrible. I had totally forgot about the IMAX and we were walking down the hall and I said to my mom "What is that loud booming noise and vibration?!" Then I remembered it was the theatre. I felt so bad for those people that had cabins there. Especially if you liked to take a nap or something during the day. I imagine it would be pure torture if you were not feeling well too.

Not sure what time they end. I actually never even went to see it.

There is a pretty recent thread/post that talks about having a cabin in that vicinity. It wasn't positive.

Okay, maybe I'll get tested for hearing aids then. Those darn concerts I went to as a kid in the Filmore East and elsewhere have probably given me "selective hearing" at the very least.

The secondhand "funny smoke" you inhaled at those concerts probably didn't help either. ;)

I didn't know if you were a "good girl" or the type that the nuns would have fits over. ;p

There's a reason that this MAN stopped drinking and smoking over 33 yrs ago. And yes, the nuns hated me for being with the formerly :halo: good girls"

Apologies on the gender mix up. For some reason, I had inferred on a previous posting of yours that you were of the female persuasion. I still have scars from the Immaculate Heart nuns from the early 70's.

We are doing the Vista in April 2018. It will be doing the southern loop. Help me pick the best deck and room!!

A little about me, we prefer inside rooms because I like the dark to sleep:) We spend a lot of time in the pool and casino. We enjoy being close to both!! We are 30+ who travel with several friends and enjoy drinking, eating and laughing!!

I'd love to hear your opinions:)

The OP states she/he prefers to be close to the casino and main pool. I'm not sure how a Havana cabin would fit that criteria???

Well depending on what you consider close. The ship is big but not really that big. The vista is really small compared to the oasis class on royal. But in all reality im thinking the average person can walk the length of the ship slowly in well under 10 minutes depending on the deck and time of day. Im guessing they want the casino for their dirty habit and not so much for the fact they want to donate some excess cash to their casino.

If someone enjoys being poolside, and having the added bonus of no rugrats, then the Havana area would be the ideal location. Since the casino is usually a night time thing and that's when you're out and about, the walk from the Havana area to the casino should be a small price to pay for the pluses gained during the day lounging poolside there with no crowds and no kids.

Technically they like to be by "the pool". Which I think Havana would suffice since there is a pool. It also sounds like they like to have a good time and do adult things. Havana would be perfect IMHO. We went to the Casino every night and the walk wasn't bad at all.

Nope we like to donate money and no

dirty habits to be done in the casino.....

I will be booking a Havana room on the Horizon as soon as the May schedule is released. We travel with a group of people and like to be on the same floor' date=' however I think snagging a Havana will be much better then waiting for them to decide!!

Thanks for the great info, we decided on deck 10 forward but as close to mid as you can be but still considered forward. Noise don't bother me any, I wear ear plugs and bring a fan for my scheduled naps. The busy Lido deck doesn't bother me much either.

Then again neither does flip flops at dinner, waiting to get a drink, once a day room cleaning or anything else aside from plain rude people. I'm very easy going on vacation!!!
