Carnival is the newest partner with MyVegas!

Recommended Posts

We've been playing MyVegas for almost three years and have enjoyed well over one thousand dollars of benefit each in the form of free rooms, free shows, free activites and most often free buffets. In March this year we took a 5-night RCI cruise for free (paid taxes of $85+/-pp.)

NCL and MSC have offered some cruise rewards.

NOW Carnival is participating. The first bunch of cruises offered were mostly west coast or from Galveston. I'll be watching.

I just checked a few days ago and didn't see it! I will have to check again. I hope there are some OBC offers. I already have a few cruises booked.

If you haven't already, join the "My Vegas Friends Rocks" group and follow the rewards refresh thread. Being notified of when each days' rewards are added give you an edge. Also, after your first reward redemption via the mobile app, your details auto-populate making it much faster to claim a reward that may be in high demand.

Thanks!

I have redeemed before for free seating and such on Allegiant Air. This would be much better!

Thank you for that hint. Is the "My Vegas Friends Rocks" group a face book group? We have used points for a room, show, and dinner in LV and have been building points hopefully for a cruise vacation. Should be able to get one now if I can only catch the deal on time. The addition of Carnival is great.

Yes, it is a FB group. There is also a thread for links to get free chips on the FB game. If you follow James Hite, he also gives out codes for both FB and mobile.

I am psyched about the addition of Carnival. Just one more way to ease the sticker shock of Cheers for DH.

Very cool, though hopefully they'll add some OBC option without crazy restrictions. I also did not know MSC until now that was a partner. I haven't played in awhile and I'm sitting on 438,000 gold coin so I might turn that into some MSC OBC for our April cruise. "Must be redeemed within 30 days" so I think I'll wait on pulling the trigger. :p

I have a question for you since you have taken one already Are those cruises for 2 or is it for one person and the second pays? Its not very specific in the offer. I have over a million points and could get a 7 day if it were available. I have access all day to a computer to keep checking new offers. I'll start checking often. I too have redeemed many times in Vegas for some really good comps.

The cruise offers are for two people; some folks have paid to add a 3rd guest. Most of them offer an inside stateroom (some do specify oceanview or balcony for MANY more points.) We were able to pay a minimal upgrade ($20) for a promenade stateroom on the Independence of the Seas. The only additional cost to make the book is taxes; in our case that was $85pp. You purchase the reward, then get an email confirmation. It has instructions of what information you have to email to (in our case) RCI's casino booking department. It takes a few very anxious days for them to respond, but then just a few minutes on the phone and you have a reservation which you can manage via their website. Cruise rewards go very quickly, but if it's mid-afternoon and nobody had posted that they refreshed for the day, I know it will happen within the next couple hours. I sit on the computer and refresh every few seconds; I've had very good luck getting what I want. However, I've now redeemed a reward on my tablet (mobile version of game) and when I'm anxious to get a particular reward, I will use it as my information pre-populates saving a precious few seconds.

Good luck to you!

The only "restriction" I am aware of is that you must make the new booking with the reward and directly through RCI (specifically a casino offer), not using a travel agent.

I play lots of FB games and had no idea this was even a thing. I wonder how many "points" or chips or whatever I might have earned over the past several years! If I sailed RCI, I may have seen something on their board but I don't read over there.

Oh well. Guess I'll check it out.

Sadly, I work and can't spend all day sitting and refreshing a browser hoping to get a deal. I usually miss the Carnival gift cards because I can't watch the boards nonstop to see when they're available.

So, let me get this straight before I spend time this weekend online. This is a free game that you can play online, through FB, or through your phone, just like, oh, Candy Crush Saga, except it's a casino game. And you "win" points that you can then turn into real rewards? Is it one game? Like a slot game? Or are there multiples all under this "myVegas" umbrella?

Sounds too good to be true! ;p

Yeah, that's part of what I was referring to. Same for the Discover OBC offers, where you must book through their TA. If someone routinely uses a discount TA, booking direct with no kickback/discount effectively makes the OBC offer worth nothing... or even gives it a negative value. Given that there is no reason that they couldn't issue the OBC as a simple GC or named-person certificate to be applied to any booking, there is no reason for such a restriction, hence "crazy".

I play on my Ipad. DH plays on our laptop on my Facebook account. Both rack up points on my account.

We have been doing this for 5-6 years now. We cashed in our points in Oct 2014 when we took a trip to Vegas/Tucson/Grand Canyon and received a free night in a deluxe room in New York New York, $75 off our dinner at the steak house in Excaliber and 2 tickets to a show in New York New York all free. We have been saving up our points since then and have around 880,000 points accumulated. Enough for a free Carnival Cruise plus if we get a chance and the timing works. We can't do anything this year though since our vacations are already set. We have put no money into this game. At a minimum we take a couple minutes each day (me on my Ipad and DH on our laptop) to gather our daily coins. When we have more time we play the coins we have been accumulating on the slot games to rack up our points for the freebies. It takes a while, but man the rewards can be sweet and the worth the time invested.

To add to answers that have already been posted, you can plan on the computer and/or mobile on phone or tablet. I know several ladies who have done Vegas with me; they play only mobile, but still get the reward they want.

Also, my daughter mostly plays black jack through MyVegas; I play only slots. If there's anything else, I'm not aware of it.

Most people (according to two FB groups and Vegas Message Board forum) do not buy points. My husband and I do pay real money for points on occasion.

Two different kinds of points: the red coins are the ones you "play" with - use for the games. The gold coins are "loyalty points" you can redeem for rewards.

It takes time to learn the ropes and build up value. We enjoy it. Don't tell her mother, but I let my granddaughter spin away on my tablet...she has no idea what's she's doing, but does get excited when she wins.

I know of 4 games connected to this, we just stayed in Vegas two nights for free. I got two tickets to the shark reef at Mandalay Bay and a free $25 value cocktail by the pool. I recently got the $100 OBC for MSC cruises. I will keep playing though, my final payment isn't due until April.
