1. Head to the train station 5 mins away from the Southampton port

2. Take a short 1 hourish train to London Waterloo/London Paddinton

4. Short taxi round to London St Pancras

3.Take a 2 hour comfortable Eurostar train from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord

Done :)

We love Eurostar and have used it to get to Barcelona and Italy and all sorts once we got into Paris....tickets can also be very cheap round £35-£80 one way and theres ample room for storage and a restaurant car. The security of the two Eurostar stations is also excellent and thorough. Just make sure you have checked in an hour before the train leaves.

UK trains are also plentiful and frequent but you can also book a national express coach into London if you prefer....cheaper but longer.

Is your last port-of-call Le Havre? Or Cherbourg? Or Zeebbrugge (Bruges) ?

It's quite common for folk to jump-ship (with cruise line's permission) at the last port in order to visit Paris without having to double-back from Southampton.

JB :)
