Sorry - nothing! Or at least very little. We called at Hellesylt on an Oceania cruise but it was just to pick up passengers from an overland excursion.

We spent the day in Hellesylt after the port call to Geiranger was cancelled. When you exit the pier dock, if you turn right across lower bridge at bottom of waterfall passed the Grand hotel and Sherlock Holmes pub which has free wi fi you will arrive at the ferry dock( free toilets) From here you can take the ferry to Geiranger( return fare 215 NOK, prices as of May 2015)Crossing time approx 65 minutes each way.You can also follow the walk way up passed the impressive waterfall to the top road where the main bus stop is. From here you cross the top bridge with the waterfall below you and head down past the small church .Just pass here is a path that will take you further up the hill to view point /picnic area with good views. As you head back into town there are two supermarkets, joker and co op marked, plus two souvenir shops, bank with cash machine and a cafe,if you walk further along the valley there is a camp ground and several walks.
