We are on the Getaway in June. Our stop in Stockholm will be porting atNynashamm.

We are considering the NCLexcursion “City Highlights and Leisure Time.” The description is: Enjoy thebeautiful sights as you pass by landmark locations like the Medieval Old Townof Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace, the Cathedral, Parliament House and more.Continue along the water and on to the green and lush island of Djugarden. Hereyou'll visit the Vasa Museum, home to the magnificent warship 'Vasa', one ofSweden’s number one attractions. The 'Vasa' dates back to the 17th century andis the best preserved warship of its time. Leaving the 'Vasa', drive throughthe modern downtown and business areas before being dropped off in a centrallocation for free time before your coach picks you up for the return drive to Nynashamn.

My question is does anyone have any idea where the “central location”for free time might be? I know theGetaway is just starting this itinerary in May, but wondered if a previous ship/itinerarymight have offered this excursion. Wouldlike to go back to the Old Town toexplore there on our own.

Hi there! We are also considering the same shore excursion and we have the same question .

Nobel Museum and Royal Palace are main attractions and we also would like to visit them during our free time.

I called to NCL but they have no idea where the "central location" is .

If you find something please let me know!

Our stop in Stockholm will be june 10.

Has any one else been able to find the answer to this? Gustav Adolf torg would be a fairly ideal spot, since it would be fairly close to (1 - 1.5 miles) some of the places we would hope to visit on our own .

Maybe one of the pax on the upcoming Baltic itineraries this month will come back and confirm.

Hello Folks!

Now I am back home...

All tourist busses drop you off at Royal Palace.

You will be at Gamla Stan (Old Town)

We did this tour and it was fine- you get about 4 hours in Old Town. If I were to do it again I would do the hop on hop off and do the boat part. We met people on the cruise who did that and enjoyed it. We were on the Getaway the June 3rd sailing.
