Dear All,

there is so much information going on about the HoHo bus in Cartagena this is the answer I received, hope this clears the working of the bus system

best regards

The first website http://www.city-sightseeing.com/tours/colombia/cartagena.htm you have stated is the City Sightseeing Worldwide page, a generic page for all the tours and this does offer City Sightseeing Cartagena but not including a cruise port pick up.

The second website http://www.citysightseeing.com.co/en/producto/ship-shore-tour-cruise-passengers/ is our local franchise website, specific for the tour is Cartagena and this does offer a cruise port pick up.

The main reason the worldwide web page doesn't have a cruise pick up is because it needs to be arranged locally and it is not a free-sale product, the local franchise need to know numbers of passengers.

If you can inform the passengers that have booked the tours on the worldwide page without the cruise pick up that they are eligible for a refund so they can book on the local franchise's web page instead...They must email us at: info@city-sightseeing.com with their ticket number and the reason: booked incorrect tour in Cartagena and require refund as per Alison Leeke's email.

I am trying find out if you can buy the Hop On Hop Off tickets when we arrive in Cartegena and if the bus comes to the port. Does anyone know if we can, how much it costs, if there is cruise port pick-up/return and how long the tickets are good for - we arrive at 10 am one day and depart 5 pm the next day. Appreciate any help.

The ship offered the HOHO bus, but we did it on our own. We took a cab to the old town area and looked around there for a while then crossed the street and caught the HOHO. It was a little more expensive than had been posted on the internet, but not much. (Sorry, can't find my notes right now) DH thought they may increase the price when a ship is in port. They did give us bottled water which we appreciated. We didn't hop on/hop off. Did the whole loop and met our cab driver to go back to the ship. I don't remember seeing a HOHO bus at the port. We didn't over night in the port, but our experience with HOHO is that tickets are good for 24 hours. In Edinburgh we bought tickets in the afternoon and used then again the following morning.
