Vancouver to Seattle-places not to miss

Recommended Posts

we are ending our Alaska cruise in vancouver. We are renting a car and driving to fly out of Seattle the following day. We are spending the night in Seattle. Is there places along the way that are worth stopping for? Quaint little towns....scenic areas???? Not sure what is there. Any help would be appreciated

Thoughts....

  • Hmm.... to clarify... you are arriving in Vancouver May 29th on a Monday.... enjoy your breakfast and drive out after 9am when traffic will be lighter.
  • have research while car rental? Alamo, Enterprise and National have a small fleet inside the cruise terminal.
  • if you have luggage.... book early to secure those luggage friendly minivans.
  • small towns? Storybrooke may be of interest.
  • unique experience would be Future of Flight. Book your tour tickets right after you cross the border. They sell out the Dreamliner tours around noon for the day.
  • The space needle is popular.... also watch the ticket sales online as you drive towards the needle. There can be a multi-hour wait.

I agree with Chuckanut Drive. You can also stop in Fairhaven for lunch (part of Bellingham, Wa) and/or get a coffee at Boulevard Park to stretch your legs, then drive down Chuckanut Drive (Stop at Taylor Shellfish while on your drive down Chuckanut the view is gorgeous from there)
