OTownNick Posted April 26, 2017 #1001 Share Posted April 26, 2017 As was mentioned in the Casino Program Changes thread, some of us are not receiving promotional offers from Club Royale, and in that thread, those who had received offers were sharing the offer details with the rest of us so that we could find out whether we qualified for them as well. I don't receive promotional emails from Royal Caribbean for some reason, but I do receive USPS mailings, so I found out about this offer. Hi Marc. It's always a good idea when you're talking to CR to just ask if there are any offers you qualify for and they will look it up. I had a comp inside stateroom and never got any emails about it.. so you never know. My "problem" is I have too many cruises booked and many of the emailed offers are for cruises within the next few months and I can never take advantage of them. One of these days, once we make Pinnacle, we're going to go back on Celebrity. Supposedly they are set up like CR USED to be, with cash rebates, etc.
Happy Bee Posted April 26, 2017 #1002 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Same old, same old with the program. I wonder if there is anymore info to come from CR down the road. Have a wonderful time and best of luck to both of you. Thank you Linda and say Hi to Keith :) Missing you ...but everytime when I put this magnet sticker on door on my cabin I think about you :)

Everyone’s a Winner with Celebrity Cruises’ New Casino Loyalty Program The best-in-industry Blue Chip Club offers various tier levels with new and unique player benefits and rewards MIAMI – April 19, 2017 – Guests are being dealt a winning hand with the revitalization of Celebrity Cruises’ Casino Loyalty Rewards Program, the new and improved Blue Chip Club. The program boasts a variety of brand new exciting benefits, including free slot-play, internet packages, specialty dining and spa credits as well as a variety of other onboard and shore side benefits designed to lure and reward both casual and serious casino players. The program, launching April 2017, offers five new tier levels – starting at Pearl, Onyx, Amethyst, Sapphire, and the highest tier, Ruby. Each level is based off a players’ past casino gaming activity with Celebrity. As guests continue to earn tier points, they will qualify to upgrade to a higher tier. Tier points are easily earned when a casino guest uses their Seapass card while playing in Fortunes Casino. The more tier points accumulated, the higher the tier level and the more per-sailing benefits a guest has at their disposal. “Our new Blue Chip Club loyalty rewards program is our way of rewarding our dedicated gamers and high-rollers while providing the casual gamer benefits on board that they have never had before,” said Susan Bonner, Vice President, Revenue Management and Onboard Revenue. “The revitalized program has a wider breadth and affords many additional benefits to many more casino guests regardless of what channel was used to book their sailing.” Depending on a player’s tier, 14 new benefits have been added to the program, including free casino play, spa and laundry credits, friends and family cruise discounts, complimentary beverage packages, and even priority debarkation and free prepaid tips. Bonner continued: “More guests will now have access to more casino benefits on every sailing, positioning Celebrity’s Blue Chip Club to be on par with the best casino loyalty programs, land or sea.” To learn more about the new Blue Chip Club loyalty rewards program and all of the incredible benefits, visit www.celebritycruises.com/blue-chip-club or call 1-800-437-3111. I have the same problem, although not as many cruises as you. :) Since starting this thread, email from Royal Caribbean including Club Royale are flowing into my inbox again. The offers are inconsistent (some are ~$500 off, some are complimentary cabins), but they're all in the near term, and I just can't squeeze that in. I'm booked up pretty well through March 2019, although once I build up my vacation days again (I started a new job last October), I might consider taking them up on some of their offers. Well there you go! NEW and improved program started this month. So even THEY stopped the cash rebates starting this month! From the looks of this, I wouldn't be surprised if RCI ends up doing the exact same program.
OTownNick Posted April 27, 2017 #1012 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I wonder if Blue Chip is looking at CUMULATIVE history? Not sure what Club Royale is now basing on... Club Royale is NOW basing your limited benefits on your LAST sailing. Only exception COULD be if your last sailing was "light", you COULD have them review your last 6-12 months of action to see if they could adjust your "rating" for a specific dollars off (subject to one per sailing in addition to certificate earned)... neenee61 Posted April 27, 2017 #1014 Share Posted April 27, 2017 I was on Solstice the day that this was implemented. Rec'd email as I was boarding interstate flight to cruise advising of my Sapphire status and new benefits. Once onboard all went smoothly with rec'ing benefits and $1000 in cash play. This amount is very much lower to what I would normally get back after a cruise but is also a lot more than what CR now offer. Not really interested in RCCL since new program started and last cruise on Ovation not all impressed with type casino or host. Celebrity is really just playing catch up with revamped program as are all the cruise lines. Really not concerned with changes as I always get very well looked after with comped cruises and also hosted very well when onboard. Or only Pinnacle eligable to this transfer? Since I've got 22 cruises booked and no room for anymore new bookings, I have not gambled much on the last several cruises since I really have nothing to gain unless I win on that sailing , which happens only about 40% of the time. Once I "need" to book more cruises I'll just go back in and step up my game. Last week on Adventure I managed to win over $1,100 on the first night and QUIT the rest of the cruise. Didn't care about getting a certificate or not. They ended giving me a $200 Cert anyway! Probl can't use it but at least I took some of their money home for a change lol. OTownNick Posted April 28, 2017 #1017 Share Posted April 28, 2017 I wondered the same thing (is this really a cumulative rating system ?). Seems unlikely but it was poorly stated if it is not cumulative. According to my CR rep yesterday, the Blue Chip program IS cumulative so it would benefit the frequent cruisers. You can move up tiers the more points you accumulate

maryjaden Posted April 29, 2017 #1019 Share Posted April 29, 2017 Has anyone had any luck booking a second room at the casino rate lately? I know we could do this with old program but I think I read somewhere that it is no longer available with the new program. Thanks in advance! Daghis Posted April 29, 2017 Author #1020 Share Posted April 29, 2017 After the end of the old program, but about a year ago (looks like mid-May last year), I did get a second cabin at the casino rate for friends of ours joining us on our cruise next March. maryjaden Posted April 29, 2017 #1021 Share Posted April 29, 2017 Thanks Marc. Our Harmony cruise in August is a big (30 of us) family cruise. I am using the group's TA this time because it was easier to link reservations for dinner, entertainment etc. So she has to call to make changes. Right now I have a JS with 4 of us (cozy). What I was trying to accomplish was to get the adjoining balcony cabin to put our two daughters in (ages 15 & 20) First person our TA talked to at Casino Royale could do this for basically the same price we are paying for the JS. Great deal! TA couldn't get a hold of me, so she called called them back this morning and now it's $1000 more. Still not a bad deal, but they told TA they had to reprice everything resulting in the increase and that you can now only book 1 cabin at Casino rate. OTownNick Posted April 30, 2017 #1022 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Only if your room is comped can you get a second room at casino rate.
Daghis Posted April 30, 2017 Author #1023 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Just as a dated datapoint, when we booked our friends' cabin last May (for next March), my cabin wasn't comped. Of course, as with anything related to Club Royale, "past performance may not be indicative of future results".
maryjaden Posted April 30, 2017 #1024 Share Posted April 30, 2017 Nic and Marc, Originally when I booked this cruise in July of 2016 I was able to get a second cabin for my oldest daughter at the casino rate. My cabin was not fully comped, but was about $2500 cheaper than regular rates. They ended up having to cancel. So in my mind I should have been able to get the casino rate on this booking for second cabin. Not so anymore....oh well. As an update, when the TA called them back (Sat. morning) to book the second cabin pointing out the history of the booking and past play, speaking with a few different reps, she was able to get the original deal that they quoted her on Friday night of adding the second balcony at the same price as I was paying for just the JS. However they did say no more second cabin pricing going forward. So all in all, I am happy with how it all turned out, but this further convinces me that we are not going to see nearly as much benefit with the new program. I will be very interested in what I end up with after my upcoming cruise which will determine my future play.
samlomax Posted May 2, 2017 #1025 Share Posted May 2, 2017 Onboard the Navigator now we phoned and asked casino club if we were still vip 2 days before boarding and got told yes you are, don't forget to visit the casino host and get your vip sticker for your drinks. Got onboard and went to see the host and was told the rules have changed and now unless you accrued 1000 points on your most recent cruise, wether it was a 3 day freebie or a 16night sailing you wasn't a vip anymore. He had to email Miami head office to get permission to give us the drinks even though he could see on his computer that we had earned those points as we weren't on his paper list we didn't count. Turns out we had 990 points due to the double points not all counting, so he gave us a sticker but only after we complained that the only reason our last Cruise was a 4 day was because the casino people talked us into one when we wanted to book a longer cruise. We are diamond plus so get loads of free drinks anyway but it was the smirk on his face that made me argue with him lol. I swear to god every time i go near the bar he is watching me now lol.
