Hi Folks,

We booked a casino rate room for next spring. This offer included a discount on our cabin and some casino cash. I know that if you get a comped room you get a drink card for the casino. Is this true for discounted cabins?

Wow, what is a casino rate room? We have been on about 45 cruises and this is a new one for me. How does it work? Thanks in advance.

We've gotten the casino rate before but never any cash ...so maybe a different casino rate. I did not receive a free drink card. We were offered a drink or maybe two while in the casino ... nothing more than that, though.

For us the casino rate recently has been associated with a VIP offer. The offer document explains exactly what comes with it. Our last two have been discounted room rates (exactly the same ones that were offered to most cruises a while back) + a small amount of casino cash, special drawings / games, and complimentary drinks while gambling. Check your offer letter / email for the perks.

If you play a lot in the Casino, you'll get a letter near the end of the cruise with a discounted rate offer for cruises during a time window and have to book within a couple weeks of the cruise end, includes casino cash and sometimes drinks. I get offered $200 in casino cash, my wife gets offered lots more.

There is also a CASINO promo code (Capacity controlled) given to some players, get 35% off insides to 15% off suites (except Alaska, Europe, Japan where it's 25% and 5%). Intervening categories step down by 5%.

The only way to know if you get CASINO is to call Princess.

For the players club I heard from the host that they track players but how much deposit they make. I was wondering couldn't i just make a few thousand cash deposit at the casino tables and not play? How would they know and do you know for princess cruises if the casino deposits count as purchase or cash advance
