Guide to Muir Woods and Sausalito-Advice needed please!

I had wanted to do the ship excursion to Muir Woods and Sausalito . The time we had wanted is now sold out! Are their local companies around the port or the commercial piers offering these excursions? Most of the companies online leave before our ship arrives. TIA

Decades and decades ago, my mom and I used Gray Lines to go to Muir Woods - it also included a stop in Sausalito. I see they are still in business. Big busses.

Do a 'net search on your favorite engine for "excursions to Muir Woods and Sausalito" - you'll find several options pop up.

Crowding in Muir Woods is becoming a serious problem. You might find some tours on line...but I bet the selection will be small.

I used Gray Line also who operate a daily tour which is marketed by many tour company's online including Viator which is who I booked it through.. Easy 20 minute walk from pier 27 to the tour pick up point.

You didn't mention when you are going to be in San Francisco. Its very easy to take the ferry to Sausalito and then the Muir Woods Shuttle - Route 66F. However, the shuttle only runs on weekdays until mid August. It still runs on weekends through October.

Booked with via tour for 9 . They said they pick up at pier.

Dylan's tours offer Muir woods and Sausolito with a city tour 9am departure.

The Hop-on-hop-off Bus is good. You can book it through Viator. Then you choose when you want to go. You'll find a couple hoho companies offering this, with discounts, when you get off the ship.

We are booked to do this tour with viatour,called to make sure they pick up at pier and they said yes. They said they will pick up around 8:30 to 8:45.

We were there in May and we use the gray line it's located not too far from the pier and it does make a stop in Sausalito and Mirwood's also stop underneath the Golden gate Bridge which provided great photo
