Has anyone been on the Paul Gauguin ?

i am looking at them for next year. They seem to offer a good scuba program and it seems like although they subcontract out some dives and do others themselves. I wonder if they have a compressor on board ?

Does anyone have an experience to share with me?

We've been on board 4 times, #5 in July. In Huahine, Moorea and Bora Bora the dives are with their dive team from their zodiacs. In Rangiora and Cook Islands they contract out. They have good equipment and refill on board with their compressors. Lots more info on the Paul Gauguin board.

It is a spectacular cruise

Being on her 4 times, best ship and crew. Just a reminder though that there is very little snorkeling on the 14 day cruise. It's goes were the water is rough and very deep. So most shore excursions are on land trips.

We are considering Paul Gauguin - we enjoy shallow water snorkeling. Do they do any snorkeling from the platform on the back of the ship? Which itinerary would be best for shallow water snorkeling? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
