Butterflies, Hummingbirds excursion outside of Puntarenas

I'm going on a Panama canal cruise in early October with Holland America. There are multiple interesting excursions for Costa Rica but can only do one. One of the ones that looked the best was a hummingbird. and butterfly sanctuary. But there is another excursion that is a must for our group. So, does anyone know of something similar in any of the other ports (Puerto Quetzal, Corinto)? Are there private tours that would have something like this? It's too bad we don't have more time in Costa Rica. Thanks for any suggestions.

We returned last month from a fabulous 16-day Panama Canal cruise on the NCL Jewel. Our ports also included Puntarenas, Puerto Quetzal, and Corinto. We did excursions in all of them. You can read the details of what we did in all of our ports (with photos) at the following link, but I want to give a special shout out here to Gio Tours in Costa Rica for a truly amazing day (and one in which we got to see scarlet macaws in the wild, not to mention monkeys and crocs).
