Mineral and Gem Shops

I am looking for a shop that sells boulder opals and other gems/minerals. I am looking for small either polished or rough pieces to use in jewelry. Wanting sizes of about 3/4" to around 1.5".

There is a Gemboree in Lithgow Easter weekend which would be perfect, but I won't be there then. Will be there for the next couple of days.

You'll find tons of places in the cities selling opals, but be prepared to pay....

Really your best bet is if you can get to Cobber Peddy or Lightning Ridge, or one of the other areas where they mine.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we don't have the time to vet to either of those places. I have found out by looking around that I can get them cheaper at home.
