2-for-1 offers from Viking River Cruises

Today, My TA sent a note that Viking was offering 2-for-1 cruises.

How many years has Viking been doing this?

After all this time, it seems to be their regular price.

Would this be considered false advertising?

If only it was just Viking, but sadly still far too many of these sorts of offers around...

We have been getting 2 for 1 offers from Oceania for years now. Every single mailing (which is about 2-3X a week) is 2 for 1. How dumb do they think we are?

2for1 Viking only does on the North-American market, have a look at the UK website to see. I am also not sure about booking a river cruise with your TA... This type of offer has been around at least since 2014, it was also not available on their German webiste when it still existed. I think in Germany somebody might have put them to the test legally if they had offered it exactly like they do in the US if it had been brought to the consumers rights' protectors attention. But that is by the by as Viking no longer offers cruises on ther German market and their office here is closed.

Someone was pointing out that the offer runs out 30 April. See what the website says on 1 May.

If your TA is presenting this as an actual offer then you should, as the OP stated, dump your TA.

Ocean cruises are the same. As are all of the duty frees.

The only price that matters is the price that you pay. Everything else is irrelevant.
