Post-cruise transportation to JFK

Might not suit you but if you have a late flight (as many to Europe are) I recommend renting a car. We did this from budget (about $10 in a cab) for out 10pm flight from Newark. Gave us somewhere to store our vast amount of luggage amd enabled us to do some shipping and visit relatives in New Jersey. Can't remember cost but I think it was about $100 for a model sized car. If we'd been flying from JFK we'd probably have gone further onto Long Island.

A service recommended often by locals in NYC is Dial 7.

That's who we use for airport and port travel. (Already booked our car to our Manhattan hotel). A direct competitor is Carmel http://www.carmellimo.com (Dial 7 phone is 212 777-7777, Carmel is 866 666-6666 so if you're "at sixes and sevens" you've got their number)

Seconding another poster, I've heard satisfied reports for Arecibo http://www.arecibocc.com/

In all cases, there are online coupons and discount codes out there, so you may want to do a bit of googling to find them.
