Late sailing?

I am booked on the "Balmoral" cruise from Dover on 12th September. I notice from the website that my check-in time is 1530-1630. This is much later than usual. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Ours is 3 to 4:30. On Atlantic Deck. Think it is a little later than usual.

"Ours is not to reason why" I seem to think is the best solution.😄

I'm just off the Black Watch and we did not sail until nearly 8 pm. Sometimes FO will disembark passengers in one port and then relocate to pick up passengers in another so boarding times and sailing times are later. You can always calls the office and ask for the scheduled sailing time.

The port of Dover website says she is docking at 7am and sailing at 5pm. She will not have relocated as she will have departed from Dover on the previous cruise. Get there in good time you may get on earlier.

Perhaps they are disinfecting the ship?

That was the time we were given last May when they were doing a deep clean. Maybe they are pre-empting the need to do this after every cruise as once it starts it seem to continue for several cruises.
