Millennium dry dock this year?

A site that I use has no listing for a Millennium dry dock (last was in April of 2015). One thing that is planned when it is done is to remove the beautiful Olympic restaurant and replace it with Tuscan Grille. Ugh.

Anyone know what and when this will occur and what improvements are planned?

If it was done in April 2015 . You expect it around Mid 2018 to Early 2019.

Dry dock will be in Victoria, BC following the Honolulu-Vancouver cruise and the first Alaska sailing which departs May 12.

Victoria Shipyards has also successfully courted the lucrative cruise-ship industry. The Crown Princess was here for a refit in May. Next to arrive for refits will be Celebrity Cruises’ Millennium at the end of April or early May, followed by the Crystal Serenity in May.

Yes we knew about the dry dock as we are boarding Millie right after her dry dock on May 12th for our Alaska cruise to Seward ;).What we don't know is what they are fixing & or changing in dry dock ?

With an $8M makeover scheduled for April 2016, Celebrity Millennium is ready to stun—right alongside the ship that inspired her new look, Celebrity Solstice.

Now on Celebrity Millennium, you can relax at the chic new Rooftop Terrace, catching a movie under the stars with themed cocktails and snacks (our new A Taste of Film experience). Refuel from your exhilarating day ashore with USDA dry aged steaks and fresh-made pastas at Tuscan Grille, already a smash hit on our Solstice class ships. And recharge in our revamped Penthouse and Royal Suites, with glimmering new powder room fixtures, marble surfaces, and fabrics throughout.

But, we didn’t stop there. You’ll notice stylish new touches around every corner, from Fortunes Casino to the adults-only Solarium.

I do not mind X writing anything here, at least it is 'official' and NOT speculation, albeit brief...

Besides someone asked a question about dry dock, did they not?

bon voyage

Why the decision to not "revamp" the Celebrity suites as well? I've heard they are tired looking and at the prices charged would hope that they get spiffed up as well.

Does anyone else find these Celeb pr insertions annoying?

Not at all like the origjnal contributions of Celeb Cruises...now just blurbs from the ads...

Usually, yes, but not in the specific case. Though it would have been nice to have it written out in a less of a "PR" sort of way...

Be that as it may, I'm glad to know what's being done to the ship a few weeks before I board it! :)

A comment and interaction would be nice.

Cut and paste marketing spin is so minor league.

And from everything we've heard, Tuscan Grille on the M Class ships (replacing the wonderful ocean liner venues) is a bust.

Agree completely, it used to feel like there was an actual person relaying information and answering questions. Now they just quote the web site with things that most of us know already.

Hi Celebrity,

I'm a bit confused, as your official website mentions just 2 M Class ships, Summit and Infinity, getting the full renovation treatment.

Are you sure Millennium is included?

Cheers,

My apologies, I found a more recent article, from earlier this month, from the Celebrity website and it does say Millennium is also getting renovated.

I look forward to seeing the changes when I cruise on Millie in August.

Just off The Millennium and spent a few nights in The Olympic getting my 'fix' of goats cheese soufflé and lobster before it disappears!

Not at all happy that it is changing into Tuscan!

But of course, things change and you never know I might enjoy it as much!
