Millennium dry dock this year?

Anyone know what and when this will occur and what improvements are planned?

A site that I use has no listing for a Millennium dry dock (last was in April of 2015). One thing that is planned when it is done is to remove the beautiful Olympic restaurant and replace it with Tuscan Grille. Ugh.

If it was done in April 2015 . You expect it around Mid 2018 to Early 2019.

Definitely is this year. Staff in Olympic told us , and for the record they weren't happy about the change to Tuscan Grill either!

Dry dock will be in Victoria, BC following the Honolulu-Vancouver cruise and the first Alaska sailing which departs May 12.

Victoria Shipyards has also successfully courted the lucrative cruise-ship industry. The Crown Princess was here for a refit in May. Next to arrive for refits will be Celebrity Cruises’ Millennium at the end of April or early May, followed by the Crystal Serenity in May.

Yes we knew about the dry dock as we are boarding Millie right after her dry dock on May 12th for our Alaska cruise to Seward ;).What we don't know is what they are fixing & or changing in dry dock ?

I am quite happy to hear from Celebrity, letting us know what the plans are for the dry dock. I will be on the Millennium in June, and look forward to seeing the changes.

I do not mind X writing anything here, at least it is 'official' and NOT speculation, albeit brief...

Why the decision to not "revamp" the Celebrity suites as well? I've heard they are tired looking and at the prices charged would hope that they get spiffed up as well.

Usually, yes, but not in the specific case. Though it would have been nice to have it written out in a less of a "PR" sort of way...

Be that as it may, I'm glad to know what's being done to the ship a few weeks before I board it! :)

Cut and paste marketing spin is so minor league.

And from everything we've heard, Tuscan Grille on the M Class ships (replacing the wonderful ocean liner venues) is a bust.

Agree completely, it used to feel like there was an actual person relaying information and answering questions. Now they just quote the web site with things that most of us know already.

Just off The Millennium and spent a few nights in The Olympic getting my 'fix' of goats cheese soufflé and lobster before it disappears!

Not at all happy that it is changing into Tuscan!

But of course, things change and you never know I might enjoy it as much!

We will see what the Tuscan Grill offers when board Millenium for our May 12th Alaska 8 night cruise .;) In the past we did enjoy the specialty restaurant ;)

Can't wait to see her May 12th! I may have to be forcibly removed from this ship at the end of the cruise!! :D

Any chance that the normal cabins will get a facelift?

We had an exceptionally tired looking AQ cabin on Millenium last April.

Aside from that, looking forward to seeing all the improvements when we sail her in December.
