Did your mum go back & had the steak pie as ordered?

Here in the UK a proper pie has a top & bottom pastry, but in pubs, so called pies are served with a short or puff pastry on top, just like your mum would have expected.

Sorry I didn't mention my mother is originally from Glasgow so she was expecting the traditional pie. She never went back because she was put off by the stew and just was feeling she was having bad luck with the restaurants.

Good to see your Costa Rica pictures, when we visited it poured rain all day. We also had our tour with Oscar Brown and had a great time despite the rain :) Enjoying n your review we loved the Equinox.
