Esta scam

I guess Sandanceer is going to say book your ESTA direct with the US government and only get ripped off once rather than via an agency and thereby get ripped off twice.

It's the same for almost any visa or for UK passport renewals. Pick the correct website and avoid the middleman.

Esta Scam

It's more about an email claiming you need to renew than the original purchase.

I received an ESTA Expiration Warning email from cbp.dhs.gov, saying the one I applied for 2 years ago is due to expire last October.

It was a genuine email as it was due to expire and it gave the web address to use.

I thought it was an excellent service and as I was due to pass through Miami to join a cruise last month I renewed my ESTA in November.

Of course I would have been checking myself well in advance but I appreciated this timely reminder.

It certainly wasn't the scam suggested by the OP.
