Marina-Concierge veranda laptop

This coming July will be my first time on Oceania (Maria), on the booklet said there will be laptop in the room. Is this true, has anyone on Maria at Concierge Veranda room seen the laptop and use them?

You cannot do much with the laptop other check the web ...you cannot upload or download anything no USB sticks allowed etc..

It really is a waste of space IMO

The laptops have been in the staterooms on Marina and Riviera since those ships were built.

Every room has one, but don't get too excited; because no other programs are installed on them (not even a word processing function) the Oceania Computers are really only useful for Email and surfing the Internet.

Most people continue to bring their own devices.

I just got off the Marina on Friday (June 24) and was staying in a Concierge level cabin. Yes, there is a laptop in the top drawer of the desk. We didn't really use it much. But a couple times I wanted to do a little research on a couple ports and found that the internet browser version needed to be updated in order to view certain websites. Since you are unable to download anything on these laptops, it was useless to view the webpages I wanted to see.

The PCs in the Concierge Lounge appeared to be up to date with the latest version of the internet browser.

We put the laptop on the top shelf in the closet to get it out of the way
