Spa tips, hits or hidden benefits.

We typically cruise port intensive itineraries. This means zero or only one day at sea. Because of this I have never used the spa. Our up coming cruise has 8 sea days. This is the perfect cruise to relax and use the spa. I see I can get a facial, massage etc. Which all sound wonderful.

What advice would you give me on how to best utilize this Oceania benefit?

Book as soon as you can after boarding. Everyone who wants to use the spa is looking at those same 8 days and the spa has a relatively small staff.

My advice largely depends upon what is most important to you.

If you want to be positive that you get the service that you want precisely on the date and time that you want, then book in advance.

If you're willing to compromise with availability and schedule to save money, then wait for the Onboard Specials to be offered.

There are no guarantees of what the Specials will be, or at what point in the Cruise the Sale will start (A full up Spa obviously won't reduce prices) but if one is flexible, has patience, and is willing to try "outside the box" offerings, it is possible to save a significant amount. ;)
