Europe River Cruise Money exchange

Hi, I'm going on the Amawaterways river cruise Rousse to Budapest. I was told that the counties on this cruise all use their own currency and don't accept Euros. Has anyone had any experience with this. I'm not sure how this works. What is the best way to get currency, since we will be going to a different country almost everyday. Also what about using credit card? Thanks for your help. I'm leaving next Friday, with 2 days in Bucharest before getting on the ship.

Which countries? You actually can use Euros in most places in Budapest. ATM machines are your best bet for getting fast local currency. I went to the bank at home and ordered a small amount of local currency for my 3 days in Budapest. But did use up my Euros there too
