Best jameson distillery tours - dublin or cork??

We will be in Ireland on a cruise in August of this year. I'd love some input on which of the Jameson Distillery tours are the best. Dublin or Cork? Or both?

I have only done the Cork one and as a non-whiskey drinker, I enjoyed it.

Depending on your plans in Dublin and Cork, I would suggest going to the Jameson Distillery in Midleton, Cork and then in Dublin go to Guinness Storehouse and Teelings Distillery https://teelingdistillery.com/tasting-options/ then meander your way back to the ship!;p

Don't forget blarney castle is just outside Cork as well, just over a half hour drive between blarney and midleton.

The Cork distillery has a "bus" tour that picks you up and takes you to the distillery. It is an extra 2 pounds or so. Does anyone have an opinion on whether it is a good idea to take their bus to get there on our own?

As far as I am aware the bus is run by Cork city bus tours and not Jameson.

The bus leaves/returns to Cork city, so you will need to get from Cobh into Cork (the train runs from just beside the cruise terminal) and also the return from Cork to Cobh and your ship.

It really depends on what time your ship departs as to whether you can do it.

Just FYI - the currency in Ireland is euro not pounds.
