80* North expedition.

Recommended Posts

What I'm especially curious about is how much enrichment is laid on.

The Lindblad trips I've been on have had landings on every non-Drake-passage day along with recaps and talks. On the rare sea days they had two talks/day laid on, sometimes three.

In my mind the reason to cruise Lindblad is the landings and talks.

With few landings, and cut-rate (by Lindblad standard) pricing, I wonder just how much they're laying on for talks and seminars. Some of the promo copy was "do you want to get away and write that screenplay you've been thinking about..." and I'm thinking "No, I want to be lectured to about exploration by Don Walsh, Learn photography with Dickman and Hopkins, chase whales in zodiacs with naturalists, and so on..."

I hear ya. The only reason to go with Lindblad is for their way out there destinations, getting off of the boat to see cool stuff, and the education you get along the way.

From looking through the expedition reports, there were 6 sea days, each with animal sightings and lectures. That's not bad for a 21 day cruise. (I don't count the days getting to and from the boat in Greenland as cruise days.)
