Regent Mariner Tips

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

I am planning my first cruise on Regent with my husband to be (our honeymoon of course) leaving December 12th out of Miami for several ports of call in the Caribbean. We are not new to cruising but are new to Regent. Any tips or advice for those new to Regent on getting the most out of our experience. Thanks in advance for your help!

There are so many suggestions that I can't think of them all.

1. Remember that if you like more than one entree, you can order an appetizer size of an entree (or a entree size of an appetizer.

2. You can order anything that Regent has ingredients for 24 hours in advance - just speak to the Restaurant Manager in Compass Rose (we have ordered Indian food, Beef Wellington and even a Philippine dish).

3. Make sure that your TA (really hope that you booked with a TA that regularly books Regent cruises) lets Regent know that you are on your honeymoon.

4. Don't miss Krew Kapers - a show put on by the crew that occurs the second to the last night onboard. It is a tear jerker.

5. If anything is not to your liking, please visit the General Manager's office and let him/her know. And, put your positive and negative comments on the mid-cruise questionnaire as well as on the final questionnaire. Regent cannot fix anything if they don't know about it until you get off of the ship. Headquarters receives copies of these questionnaires - they are important.

6. Speaking of the questionnaires, mention as many people that you can on them. Promotions, etc. are based are customer comments. This is the best way to say "thank you" to the wonderful people that serve you onboard - both those crew members that you interact with and the crew that you cannot see but makes your experience as great a it is.

Have a great honeymoon:D

Congratulations. Hope you have a memorable honeymoon on board Mariner (our favourite ship in the Regent Fleet)

A few things for you:

1. If you haven't done it already, make sure you set up your personal account on the Regent website so that you can book excursions and speciality restaurants

2. Have a read through the FAQ section of the Regent website - lots of useful information

3. Log into, or start, a roll-call for your cruise

4. Sign-up for a Meet & Mingle

5. When you board, speak to your Steward about what alcohol & soft drinks you would like in your suite plus any preferences on pillows etc (if you are in a Penthouse or above you can order in advance on-line)

6. Don't miss Sunday breakfast in La Veranda or Compass Rose - includes champagne & caviar

7. If you want anything that doesn't seem to be on offer, just ask; most crew members will try to oblige if they can

8. Most importantly, chill-out, relax and enjoy your holiday
