Brooke to cable beach?

Recommended Posts

There isn't really a China Town in Broome. The drop-off point is behind the main street. It is also close to the Visitor Information Centre. From there you can get a sightseeing bus that goes to Cable Beach. There is probably a public bus, but I haven't tried that. There would be taxis in Broome, but I doubt that Uber would have reached there yet.

If you go to a Cable Beach restaurant for dinner you will need to get a taxi back as the buses don't run out there after 6.30pm. Its a magical spot for dining and watching the sun set below the watered horizon.

We rented a car while there (last December) and didn't notice any Uber. If you want to rent a car you are restricted to sealed roads unless it's a 4WD, aslo, some roads (unsealed) are closed in the wet.

Have a camel ride on the beach, make sure you are covered up (long sleeves and hat) have sunscreen and bug spray.

Even if you don't want to ride on the camels, there are great photo ops of the camels on the beach. They are on the section to the north (on your right as you face the ocean) of the main tourist part of Cable Beach.
