Open dining on Thomson except for formal nights (one per week) when you will be allocated 1st or 2nd sitting - but it's possible to swap if you don't get the one you want by seeing the Maitre d' at an advertised time. We often just swap our invitation with someone else in the queue.

Won't be a problem to swap on our cruise in april lots of people seemed to use the lido gala night

Yes you can swao with another passenger in the queue for the Maitre D who has the time you want and you have the time they want .. but nowadays there is rarely a cruise when you will not be able to swap on the ship with the Maitre D.

In all the years we have been cruising with Thomson we have never been asked to show our tickets but saying that we do change if its not the time we like which I think is only fair to the other passengers :):)
