Quantum Class Connecting D Balcony Rooms -- Any Noise?

I generally try to avoid booking connecting cabins, but I'm faced with the choice of a mid-ship Anthem D balcony that is connecting or a non-connecting D balcony that is much further forward. I'd prefer to be mid-ship. Does anyone have any experience in connecting D balcony cabins on either Quantum or Anthem? If so, did you experience any noise or other issues with the in-cabin connecting door? I'm also assuming that the connecting cabin doesn't reduce the size of the couch or anything like on the Voyager Class, right?

Any advice appreciated!
