Valor Drydock?

Hello, quick question. Does anyone know when Valor's next Drydock is? And do you know if she will be getting Guy's and the other 2.0 upgrades?

Spring of 2016, I believe April is the month.

The representatives don't know what upgrades Valor will be receiving in April/ May. I was told by 2 different people that they want to keep it a secret until the big reveal but that the ship would be receiving the most popular upgrades. I'm hoping for Guy's, Blue Iguana, and Red Frog pub.

Just got info on the drydock. 4/23 - 5/8.

I've read somewhere that most of the 2.0 will be retrofitted to Valor. However, Guys Burger Joint isn't on the list :mad:. Seems the contract has expired with Guy's company and they are in negotiations to re-sign. Might not happen. Working on getting more info.

Where are you getting your info from? If the contract has expired the magic and two others would not be getting one and they are.

It's interesting that on Carnival's website, under "Get to know Carnival Valor", it says there's a Guy's Burgers onboard. Is that just an error, or a sign of things to come? :confused:

I am booked on the 5/15 cruise. Cruised on the Valor this past April and the only reason we booked again was because of it being upgraded but no one could tell me what the upgrades are going to be. Hopefully we won't be disappointed. It was our least favorite ship but the only cruise available for our casino bounce back.

Just the fact that it didn't have the 2.0 upgrades which we love! No Alchemy bar or specialty restaurants except for the steakhouse. I think we've just been spoiled with all the ships that have the upgrades. The food was actually really good in the main dining room when we were on it in April and I can't say the same for some of the other cruises we've taken. Plus the decor isn't something that wowed us. It's very patriotic which I know some people love but just not our cup of tea.

Valor will always be our fave..go to ship. As a military family, we feel comfortable with the patriotic atmosphere.

Wanted to give my opinion on the Valor after dry dock. This is still my least favorite ship. Our room steward was awful! Cabins 8276 & 8278 Just got back on Saturday. Great cruise but I'm still not a fan of the ship. The food in the main dining room was still excellent the 80's show was awesome and we love the Alchemy bar, Blue Iguana and Guys burger. The fish and chip place is still there and the fish was pretty good. Maybe if our room steward wasn't so bad and the cruise director was more fun I still wouldn't feel the same. Matt and Jaime are still the best CD's in the fleet, in my opinion.

I didn't interact with nor pay any attention to whomever was the cruise director.

Not sure how a cruise director could ruin a cruise.
