Free Cruise offered by Casino

Hello,

I just got off of the Miracle yesterday and the casino left me a letter offering me a free cruise upto 15 days. The terms of the offer are that I have two book within 2 weeks and sale within 6 months.

It's doubtful that I will be able to take advantage of this unless I do a 4 day and that seems like such a waste. My question is, has anyone ever received this offer and declined? If you declined did you get another similar offer a few months later?

Thanks,

r

You got that offer based on the gambling you did on that cruise

You'll get more of those on cruises based on how many points you get even if you don't use the current one .......Also once you reach 7,500 points in a 12 month period you'll start receiving premier casino offers as well

How many points did you get this last cruise?

Hi bamm! The free cruise offer you are describing is referred to as a "bounce back offer". These offers are awarded based on your play in the casino during your current cruise. That's why it's awarded at the end of your cruise. If you don't book your bounce back then you don't receive other bounce back offers until maybe the end of another cruise. You may receive other casino offers though, so keep checking your offers under manage your VIFP on the Carnival website.

I got a BB offer on a cruise about a year or so ago, but could not use it. Last year I was playing around on the Carnival site and saw I had a GREAT casino rate ($100 per person), so I grabbed it and we cruised over Valentine's Day. On that cruise, I earned enough points for another BB offer which I am using for a 4th of July cruise. I also am getting the DOU card as soon as I board and don't have to earn the 1,500 points. :D

My mom got off the Conquest yesterday and received one of those offers as well.

They have quite a nice selection of cruises and dates offered with that bounce back offer code, as well as one on the Vista for a European cruise in October.

I agree with a previous poster in that even if you can only take a short cruise, take it because it is a great deal :)

I am going out in a few weeks with a casino free BB offer, how do you know you are getting the DOU as soon as you board? Did you ask or is this with all Casino BB offers?

I received the BB offer on my cruise last summer and did not take it last year, but since then I was constantly getting offers for free cruises and casino cash. So I grabbed a balcony on the Breeze leaving in late May this year.

Last year I was given the DOU after the first night, I play only craps and BJ.

Thanks!

A free 4 day cruise is still better than nothing. I would take whatever I could.

A 4 day is tough for some as it may involve flying. I also got a bounce back a few weeks ago from an 8 day on the breeze (I had 4600 points). Since I live in Wisconsin, it would involve me buying 2 round trip plane fares for the trip, plus you pay port taxes (I would personally also upgrade to a balcony for the extra--like $300), there is also hotel costs as I would not fly same day for embark or debark. So my free cruise turns to almost 1500 without even accounting for my spending money. Wish I lived in florida---would make my decisions much easier :):)

However, I also do get premier offers and pack and play offers several times a year (although I never ever have accumulated 7500 points --or even close to that in a 12 month period). I do take 1 pack n play each year--almost same as a bounce back.

Out of 9 cruises, I have only paid full fare on 2.:):)

We just returned from a cruise on the Miracle yesterday, and I got a Bounce Back Offer as well. Since this is my first offer, I am still confused as to how I can find all the offers that are available to me. I went into the VIPF offers, but even when I put in the ports and destinations I might like, things seemed to come in randomly. If anyone can give me some pointers on how to see what the offer can be used for, I would appreciate it very much. Also, excuse my ignorance, but what is a DUO (or is it DOU) card? Thanks!

Congratulations on your bounce back offer! If you go to this page and enter or search for your VIFP number, then hit " show my deals," it should show you your bounce back offer and the sailings it is offered for. I believe you can narrow the results down to desired port or month you want to sail.

It should show you $0 interior for the selected sailing ( and probably very discounted rates for other cabin types) and you can book directly from the website or call Carnival to book with the offer code and sailing you decided on after viewing what is available online.

I am also curious about this. My DH got a BB offer on our cruise last month and we are sailing on the Magic in July. He only played BJ, so I have no idea how they calculated his points. Will he automatically get a DOU card? TIA for the help, this is our first BB offer.

Could someone please explain this process to me? I'm new to cruising and I do like a gamble :)

How do the points work? How much do you have play to rack up points? If I'm understanding correctly(I'm sure I'm not! haha), you get points for playing in the casino..and when you get so many, you can be offered free cruises?

The DOU cards..how do they work? Who gets them?

I appreciate the help. I am looking forward to spending some time in the casino on my upcoming cruise.

This should help you some:

How points are calculated

Slots

Every $2.50 ran through machine = 1 point

Video Poker

Every $5 ran through machine = 1 point

Texas Holdem Tables

No points are earned

Table points are calculated as follows

Amount of bet x hours played

For example, to earn the 200 required points for the DOU card it would take:

$15 per hand x 16 hours

$25 per hand x 8 hours

$50 per hand x 4 hours

$100 per hand x 2 hours

CCL is now transitioning in a new tracking system fleet wide for table players by 2016

Currently available on all the newer ships, the dealer swipes your card upon initial buy-in.

You get The Free Drink card for the casino when you reach 1,500 points during a cruise or 1,000 points if it's a 4-5 day cruise

Also if you get over 5,000 points in a single cruise you'll automatically have the DOU free drink card on your next cruise
