Hi everyone, I am thinking about upgrading to the 8A Balcony which is the upper deck of this ship.

I have looked at Deck Plans and I see that the deck below has the Casiono, clubs and lounge's etc.

How is the noise level:confused:

Thx for reply

My wife and I went on triumph cabin 1010 on JAN.21 06 and had the the absolute best time of our 23 years of marriage. The room was clean and no noise other than the sounds of the water outside our balcony door. I still smile when I think about it.Do it and have fun I CANT WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR

It depends on the location of the specific cabin. I was midship on the Lido deck and it was very quiet.

Do yourself a favor and have a look at the deck plans - it helps to print them out and overlay them. There are some places on the upper deck I would not go the aft port side for instance, the bar with live bands is down on deck 5 or right above the casino, - we heard karoake from the lounge across the back of deck 5 in our aft balcony cabin but we were headed out for the evening and didn't return until things closed down.

We were on the Victory (same class as the Triumph) had a cabin over top a lounge on the aft. I stressed for a long time about noise fromt hat lounge-- went on a cruise and never heard nothing.

But that could change from week to week. We are booked on the upper deck on the Destiny again. (I like my cabin to be close to the waters)

deck 7 (empress deck is between 2 decks of cabins space and usually only 20.00 more pp

Last year, we had 6408, 6412, and 6416. These are right above Club Rio. There was one night we heard the music, but it didn't bother us the rest of the time. When you go out on the balcony, there is no walkway (I'm thinking of when others could walk past it) You go out and you have your balcony, and there are doors on each side, which are locked.

Thx Mom;) That is what I was asking about.

When you are on Balcony can you basically look straight down to Ocean:confused:

Hi, we were on the Triumph 1/7-1/14 sailing on the Upper deck room 6327. We loved that spot. We were about midship and we couldn't hear a thing. Our rooms were very quite. As for the balcony, you have your private space were you can look over and there is the water, nothing but a railing keeping you separated. I hope that helps.

We were in 7339 on the Empress Deck. I think this was a great location. It was between decks of rooms, therefore, no noise whatsoever. It was two decks up to the Lido (no need for elevator, just take the stairs), and two deck down to the casino, shops, etc. The stairs nearest us brought us right into the casino (most convenient for DH). We were near the elevators and stairs and across from the laundry room (I would never do laundry on vacation, but the ironing board was very useful). If I were to pick a room I would most likely choose that one (we had booked a balcony guarantee).

Hope this helps.

I loved the EMpress Deck as well. This is an 8B and not usually very much more than the 8A's.

You have a view of the sea from your balcony. It is absolutely wonderful!! There is a railing and from the ground to the railing is a tinted plexiglass so you even have views while sitting in your chair. I took a ton of photos from my balcony. I don't have any posted from my Triumph cruise but you can look at my Glory photos and get the idea. The Carnival Glory Cruise - Tuesday album has a photo of the balcony itself. The balcony on the Triumph will look the same except that the furniture out there was white when I sailed.

thats why I booked an oceanview once. 600 for a balcony seemed awful lot for me. (I can take another cruise for 600.00- also- 600 can buy a lot of stuff onboard.)

Chitest2. Do you have any pictures of cabin 1010. We have that cabin on an upcoming cruise. Thank you!

You posted to a 10 year old thread; any pictures from then would be out of date. Try www cruiselinerooms com , then find your ship and deck; it may not have that exact cabin, but it should have comparable ones.
