Customs clearance times Papeete

Hi, we are arriving in PPT at about 10pm, and I have a Hertz rental car booked for 11pm, with our room guaranteed till midnight. I understand I had better talk to the hotel about maybe being later than that (but you never know!) Does anyone know average times customs takes here, and also if Hertz is open pretty much all night? I booked through my airline. If they are open you see, I figure I can be a bit late :)

Get off the plane as quick as you can. Not much of a wait if you get off before most people. If you are last off the plane you can wait an hour. It will depend on how many customs agents there are and if your flight is full. I would email or call hertz. I don't know what there hours are.

Immigration is what can take time. For most people, customs means walking out of the airport.
