Nassau weather in August??

I will be going to Nassau and Half Moon Cay on Carnival Conquest leaving August 3rd. I have heard it will be VERY hot so I was just wondering any good tips to adjust to that? Also any good sunscreen recommendations? This will be my first time in the Bahamas during August so not sure what to expect. (Also yes, I am aware its hurricane season). Thanks!!
