Hello,

We arrive Saturday 21st October 17 @ Port Everglades on HAL Nieuw Amsterdam 21 nights from Vancouver.

Some questions:

  • Price for 2 adults with 2 hold bags from Port Everglades direct to Miami International Airport [Private]
  • Price for 2 adults with 2 hold bags from Port Everglades direct to Miami International Airport [shared]

  • Does UBER operate in this area and if so a price with UBER
  • Our flight departs 1330 to JFK. Should we decide to hire a driver to have a tour of Miami, have members used a reliable driver previously and would be happy to recommend and provide contact details so that we can get a price?

Thank you

MG

We have b een doing a taxi for years from Ft Lauderdale to Miami, so we can do a direct not stop flight to San Francisco... costs generally with a tip less than $90... well woth it. Relative to tour... you can get comments from others... we have stayed in Miami in the past and Miami Beach, so have never done a tour. Good luck have fun.

Just used Uber earlier this month from FLL to the Port of Miami and back. The service was excellent and prompt - less than 40 minutes each way. You also can pre-book service from the ports to the airports, which is very handy for the return from the ship in terms of a pre-arranged driver and time. This feature is not available, however, from the airports to the ports, but our wait was only 5 minutes from call to pick up. Lyft also serves the south FL area as well.

We've used SAS before for a shared ride. We were going to use Uber last year to transfer from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale cruise port, but when we disembarked there were people outside the ship filling up small buses to go to the Ft. Lauderdale airport, about $10 pp. We were actually going to Port Everglades (doing another cruise), but they dropped off the airport people first and then took us to the port. Probably it would go the other way too. It was easy and quick.

We have also taken a ship's tour that went to the Everglades and then dropped us off at the airport. Your ship will probably have similar tours with this option.

You will NOT want a taxi...too costly! Check either UBER, or SAS Transportation. Much better prices!

Hello. Thank you for the information - most helpful. In particular UBER which I have now put on my phone. MG
