Mazatlan and Cabo on day of the dead?

Pondering a future Mexican Riviera cruise on Princess and one of the two weeks we are considering actually lines up with the two-day "day of the dead" observance when we would be in Mazatlán and Cabo san Lucas. Not sure if this is good (interesting cultural stuff) or bad (many things closed or disrupted). Anybody have any experience?

I live part time in Cabo. Unfortunately, we have corrupted the Mexicans and they celebrate Halloween more than the Day of the Dead.

Business as usual, everything is open. There is a small display at Puerto Parasio Mall and the town square, that's it.

I can't speak for Mazatlan, but I would imagine it would not be much different.

We did experience a nighttime perro parade in Ensenada a few years ago.

Found this on trip advisor

Googled Dia de Los Muertos Puerto Vallarta.
