I assume the machines pay into an account, like the other lines do (?) How do you setup your account?

Hoping it's easy like Carnival. You use your room key as your slot club card, then when you pay out it goes to your casino account.

That isn't how it worked in March. You could slide you card to load the matching but you couldn't put any winnings back on your card. You had to print a receipt. You could cash out the receipt or save it and load the receipt on a different machine.

By load the matching, do you mean depositing money in the machine? Receipts are fine, we're used to that from the local Hard Rock casino.

That amount will be billed to your cruise card to be added to other on board purchases. They also have $10.00 match play for first night and the casino is non-smoking :)

So if you play at the casino it pulls as a cash advance on the credit card that is tied to your account? If so, could you just use cash instead of charging the card?

It pulls the money as a purchase, with no fees like a cash advance. Have never been on a ship where you couldn't feed $$ into the machine. They would be crazy to not take cash.

Avoid them at all costs - the payouts are lousy! That's coming from someone with a lot of (costly) experience. However, if you are tempted, just remember to insert your cruisecard into the machines when playing. (I received a voucher for 30% off any cruise booking with a €50 OBC for doing just that!! See Mike's post #4 regarding this). Ensure the machine has registered it - don't worry, you'll learn pretty quickly how it works. There's always someone around who'll instruct you. And don't forget to remove the card when moving from the machine. It's easy to walk away and leave the card behind - something else I've plenty of experience with!

YES they have Roulette, real and video. I actually came out a little ahead after a week of Roulette and BFF won about $500 on slots but she's lucky like that.

What sort of spend do you need to be putting through the machine to get that sort of a reward?

I was very surprised when I was told I'd earned the discount. I hadn't played much after the first evening as the play wasn't great. I felt it was pure chance that I even found out about it. I was on a machine on the last day when a casino staff member noticed my card wasn't inserted correctly. He was the guy who had encouraged me on the first night to keep my card inserted as I played. I had told him at the time that I wasn't too pushed as the "rewards" didn't interest me (up 'til then the only ones I knew of were the chance to win vouchers for small amounts and the draws only happened at certain times in the evening). So, as he was adjusting my card I asked what the "rewards" were. He took my card off to the back office, returned and told me the great news. That was on the day prior to disembarkation. I had to wait 'til that evening to receive the voucher. It took some time, too, even though I'd arranged a time to pick it up! Had I not had a discussion with the guy earlier in the day, or visited the casino that night, I don't know how the voucher would have issued to me.

And, no, I'm not a high-roller - very far from it! I'd won a few bob on the first evening and played it back. I certainly gained a lot more on the discount than I'd lost!

There were T&Cs attached - the voucher had to be used within 2 months of being issued and the booking had to be for a cruise sailing within 9 months. An OBC of €50 was included.

I'm hoping on my upcoming cruise to get more info on this - the casino staff member was very vague when I had asked on the first night what I would get for inserting my card while playing. The rewards scheme does't seem very transparent and there's nothing definitive posted to give any hints on how to achieve them or what they are except for a blurb on the US website stating you can win free drinks (something that doesn't interest me as I always have a drinks package) and comped meal in Speciality restaurant (again, not interested - we already get 2 nights as Black Card holders.)
