Well, it is a done deal. The wreck is now in dry dock. Just found this site which I wonder WHY, just WHY none of us ever found it before. Lots of info, pictures, updates and videos.

Great link. And the scrambling on "he who shall not be named"'s website is amazing. 1 Aug, "if buoyancy can be re-established, ever" to 25 Aug "buoyancy suddenly re-established" to "they pumped air into the hull to displace the water, why wasn't I told about this?" when this is a common salvage procedure. The guy is totally whacked out.

Thanks for the link. I see they removed the bow before the move to the dry dock.

It is amazing that none of us ever found this link when you think about all the searches we did.

 

Luis, thank you for all that you have done to keep us informed with links and pictures.

 

I would be surprised if we get any more information on Concordia now that she is out of the public eye.

 

Has anyone heard whether the Captain has finally started to serve his sentence? Last I heard he was still in appeals.
