Spa Service and Day Pass?

Hello - first timer on Oceania in February. Question: if I go to the spa and purchase a massage and/or facial does that give me access to the spa patio for the rest of the day? This is what typically happens when you go to a traditional spa, just curious.

Not all day access, two hours before or after your treatment.

Interesting, what about if you are getting the complimentary treatments that come with the Gold level?

I rarely see this discussed here.

I can't even fathom what that response is supposed to mean.

Must we live in a World where if big brother isn't there to reprimand us, we should chance it?

Fathom

Do I detect a bit of hypocrisy here ?

How much wine do you bring on board?

The so-called three bottle limit?

Have the wine police stopped you?

The two hour limit is no different from the three bottle limit. On paper. Not enforced. Meant to prevent abuse

I respectfully disagree with your comparison, mostly because the additional wine is purchased at an additional cost to me, whereas the unauthorized use of the Spa is countenancing activity which costs someone else money.

Where the buck stops is usually a good barometer.

Thanks all - I am a veranda cabin so I'll likely do the 2 hours after I guess.

They also sell a day pass if you want to spend more time there

On the bigger ships there is no shade so it is quite hot out there

the R ships do have a bit of shade

Are you kidding?

The more alcohol you bring on board the less you buy from Oceania. Cuts into their revenue.

Sitting on the spa deck doesn't cost the cruiseline a penny

Thanks for this - I think it is unreasonable for them to charge you or limit you on a day when you are using spa services. Every hotel spa that i have ever been to allows you to stay on site all day before and after your treatment and utilize the pool etc, I would expect the same from Oceania but apparently I am wrong.

It won't ruin my trip or my day, but I am certainly not going to pay for a day pass.

When we do use it I am there for less than 1 hr so it does not bother me if we have access or not

DH does like the T pool

There is limited facilities there ..as mentioned there is no food & just bottled water or sodas available

some people like the privacy there but it is a personal choice

YMMV
