Costa Email: "Cruises from $56 pp* per day" , **BUT Look at Fine Print!!!!!

Sounds good until we look at the fine print, at the bottom of Costa's email:

Who is Costa kidding; with a $400 per-person, Non-Refundable depot, & a

$50 Administration Fee for changes! What are these people smoking???

*Cruise-only fares do not include (i) the cruise fuel supplement, if any, and (ii) certain government taxes and fees on cruise travel from $31.82 - 207.85 per person.

Fares and government taxes and fees are subject to change before payment in full. Fares are in U.S. Dollars and are valid for North and Central American Residents (U.S., Canada, Mexico and Central American countries). Fares apply to cruise only, transportation to and from the cruise embarkation/debarkation point is not included. What are you trying to say?

So you have expanded the "fine" print, this message only applies to a small percentage of Costa's passengers - North and Central American residents.

No one is forcing people to book cruises under these T&C.

Carnival has been using "Early Saver" with the same non refundable deposit and $50 change fee for many years. The remainder of the deposit can be moved to the new booking. This works well if you are sure you are taking the cruise. The price is often much lower so a bargain fare with restrictions.

Royal is also now bringing in lower priced fares with these restrictions.

Don't forget in the UK deposits are always non refundable.

AND?

Surely as with all cruises just run through whole cruise booking with and without flight if it suits book it, if you think deal not worth it, don't.

Been going with Costa over twenty two years had some really great deals, some unbelievable deals and yes some I would not book, if they offer a good deal with a high deposit, we only book it if we already have cruise insurance, so if we don't go we get our money back.
