Anthem June 8-17, 2017 - 9 Day Bermuda-Caribbean Photo Review

Recommended Posts

Yeah I know another Anthem Photo Review there have been a few lately, but what the heck, it lets me relive our experience.

Just read ccarroll57 review and pretty much agree with all comments.

This will be like my others, lots of photos little commentary. Kind of like a day by day diary of what we did and I'll try and cover all areas of the ship by adding various photos.

To start I've already posted the Cruise Compass & Daily Planners on another thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2511574

An update they tried to charge us for not returning towels, had this fixed but cost us time at Guest Services on the last night. Once I got home we got our final invoice via email. I was very happy to NOT see any extra water bottle charge that so many other are getting.

Time to check-in

We completed the checkin quickly, we had already taken our photo's but if we didn't I don't think it really would have held up the process much.

Once we were done the checkin time to go through security screening, we got stuck behind a family that were bringing several (and i do mean several) cases of soda onboard. So anyone wondering if you can bring your own the answer is yes. They had them all tied up to two small dolly's to wheel them on but they had to untie them to put them through the xray. It seemed like an eternity, but we were seated and waiting to board by 11:02.

At 11:11 AM our row was called, time to head to the gangway.

Day 1 now begins, we were onboard by 11:16 AM.

First thing off to Cafe@Two70, got a few Kummel weck Sandwiches to share and were disappointed to see they no longer use New York Strip Loin cut. I'm sure it was a strip loin cut when were were on Oasis and Quantum a couple of years ago. These were not as good as they use to be. Too much other good food to let this bother us.

We then headed up to the top decks to get a drink at the North Star Bar

We booked this through Costco and it was a great deal, even though the Costco deal came with a soda package we did buy the Deluxe Beverage & Voom package when we saw it for 35% off.

Internet Details

The Costco Deal included the following

OceanView Room (for hundreds less than an inside if booked through Royal)

Soda Package for two

Specialty Dining for up to 4

Johnny Rockets dining for up to 4

One free spa treatment

$25 each on board credit

and when we return a Costco gift card worth $215

When we arrived in our cabin these coupons were waiting for us. After I took this photo we did separate the coupons and went to book Wonderland for our free Specialty dining. We really don't need the coupons all the info was on our Sea Pass cards and they knew what was included.

Very happy to see everything from the Travel Agent and what we bought through the Cruise Planner was in order.
