Light lunch in PV, Mazatlan & Cabo

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions for a light lunch in PV, Mazatlan and Cabo. We are just planning to take a walk to take in the atmosphere and maybe visit a beach. Any suggestions for a quick drink and bite to eat would be very helpful. It is our first visit. Thanks in advance.

Take a cab or bus to old town, Playa los Muertos in P. Vallarta. Many restaurants there right on the beach, like Daiquiri Dicks, Cuates y Cuetes, Langostinos, La Palapa and more. Under Vista del Sol condo there is Seamonkey.

If you stay near the ship you miss the mexican touch, you will see Walmart and Sam's across the terminal.

What Ine said about PV. In PV take a cab to the southside and wander the Malecon back towards the cruise docks. You will find lots of great places to eat and "people watch" (we all too often find ourselves at Sea Monkey, $1US beers and margaritas, and okay food, and it is right on the sand.) If you run short of time, grab a cab back to the dock. In Cabo, just wander down the Marina. A great view of the bay, and like PV, lots of very good places to eat, "beverage" and "people watch".....our favorites in Cabo are Captain Tony's, Soloman's Landing, and Tiki Bar....all an easy walk from the cruise dock,

Grab a couple of tacos at Solomon's Landing in Cabo. It's great people watching as everyone walks by on the boardwalk. Then you can take a cheap water taxi over to the beach or for a quick tour. Just a tip: bargain for the water taxi. They may start at $12-$14 per person when they tell you the price. We typically get about $8.00 and have gotten $5.00 before.

Enjoy your time in the Mexican Riviera. It's great with some awesome food. I can't wait to go back next spring.:):):)

2 choices for us in Mazatlan

Stone Island - cheap, close, many beach palapa style eateries ($50 total cost all day for 2 to eat drink and be merry)

Playa Bruja - charter a palomina taxi. !!! Outside the cruise terminal !!! Try for $15/hr. Playa Bruja is over 30mins north past the new AVI resort. Ask the driver to take the beach route to Mr. Lionso cafe beachfront on Playa Bruja. The drive will give you a beautiful Mazatlan tour experience, and Mr. Lionso is clean affordable and a spectacular beachfront location. ask the driver to stop at locations that interest you on the way back (resorts, golf courses, beach, golden zone shopping, large church, tallest light house, drop off at stone island at the end, its your $15/hr)

Cabo has lots of waterfront food/drink. Walking distance from the Tender pier are less affordable, yet a beautiful marina walk. We would go to extremely affordable Rips bar & adjacent Taco Loco, right next to Cabo Wabo. Lots of people watching for little $, or take a water taxi over to Medano's Tobasco's beachfront.

PV, yep, either take a taxi to the Malecon and picturesque stroll down to Los Muertos pier for views and affordable food, or, if walking is trouble, take a cab right to Los Muertos pier.

If $ is tight, stop by side-by-side Cheeky Monkey or Oceano's (upper level Malecon beach front) for $1 drinks/beer, and then google "puerto vallarta taco stand map" for tasty tacos behind the low muertos pier area (there are actually taco stand tours... this is tasty taco country). Feel free to drop into any 7/11 style convenience store and pick up drinks with a credit card, for tasty taco stand thirst quenching. The taco stand folks do not care that you bring your own drinks, most encourage it... so you can eat more tacos. Pick a taco stand with several folks eating, as there are lots of semi vacant taco stands

Near the end of the day, take a $4 taxi ride from Los Muertos up to Casa Isabel, for a !!! WOW WOW WOW !!! view/location experience... Google "Casa Isabel Puerto Vallarta" if ya wanna soften the WOW factor. Well worth a $5 per drink stop (2:1 5-6pm)

Re the last post, in Puerto Vallarta the 7-11 type stores are either "Oxxo" or "Kiosko." It sometimes seems like one of those stores is on every block and they do carry all kinds of cold soda, beer, and bottled water (cheaper and colder then carrying water from a ship).
