How Early to Book a Flight Home?

Can anyone tell me what is a safe time to book a flight home from a cruise?

We are on Caribbean Princess that arrives back from Eastern Carib on Aug 21st.

Not sure if we can book for something like 11am or does it need to be much later than that? Earlier?

Thanks,

Mike

I presume trish1c means no earlier than noon ;)

Noon is a good general guideline, if flying out of the port city on a reasonably simple cruise - you can maybe push it to 11:00 AM for US citizens on 1 week Caribbean cruises from a compact port like Ft.Lauderdale, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Flying out of Ft. Lauderdale - best bet is to get a flight after 12 pm noon. You might get a better rate on air that leaves around 5:00 p.m., and then do one of the post-cruise excursions, like a tour of Miami or a trip to the Everglades (which was very interesting, and a lot of fun!)
