cruzin23 Posted October 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2004 For my January 2005 cruise out of Miami, I decided to fly into FLL because it was much cheaper. However, now I am having trouble finding a cheap way to Miami from FLL. We are going a day early, so the cruise line transfers won't help. Options such as taking a taxi or limo service seem to be pretty expensive (plus I'm too young to rent a car) so I was just wondering if anybody ever took the public transportation services (Tri-Rail, MetroRail, MetroMover, etc) to get from FLL to their hotel in Miami. I had looked into it and it's super cheap, just though I'd like to get some input from anybody who had any experience with it... Thanks!
Ta421sBtrHalf Posted October 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2004 I have never used tri-rail myself but several people at my office use it daily and have no complaints. There was another post regarding Tri-Rail and had mentioned it was only $4.00 a person from FLL to Miami.
sc deer Posted October 8, 2004 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2004 Hope I'm not buttin' in, but I have ridden mono-rail and tri-rail in the Miami area, I live in SC and have one sister in Miami another in Dania and a brother is West Palm Beach. It's 1 1/2 hrs from WPB to Miami and about 15.00. but no traffic to hasstle, just watch the view. I think it's great, but I haven't tried it with 3 or 4 bags of luggage. Hopt this helps.:)
