what are some casino secrets to win on the slots

it's the machine that always gives money.....

The ATM MACHINE!! In the front corner! (just kidding of course) There are NO secrets to slots. Totally random. Just have fun and don't spend more than you can afford to lose.:D

We have seen on the first night they pay good. (This is to get the people in to play) Then the last night after 12:00 pm It seems that they pay out better. I wonder if anyone else notice this?

Most people play either the first night and last night. So the perception becomes that more win on those nights.

Contrary to what many think they dont adjust the machines, nor would they need to.

The thing about the slots that I have realized is that these machines are computers. They are programmed to act a certain way, and most of the time you don't win much on them, if anything. Try playing one line for a while, and almost always, a big win will come up on another line. Then switch to playing the max, and no more big wins. It almost always happens, and I think the machine is programmed to recognize when you're playing one line, and then tempt you to increase your bet. I usually play the slots for a little while just for fun, but you probably stand a better chance to win at a table game. They say Vegas odds are a lot better than ship's odds.

BonnieJ is on the right track. The God inside every machine is a Random Number Generator. As it's name suggests, it spits out thousands of random numbers per second. Those numbers correspond to where the reels will land on the face of the machine. The minute you press the "spin" button or pull the lever the RNG stops. Whatever the RNG stops at will determine where the reels will end up. It's more like a computer than a game of chance.

Learn Blackjack basic strategy or stick to the pass/come line at the dice table. Much better odds than the slots.

I can tell you how to lose much more than you had planned to donate. Use your S&S card to play the slots with. It's so easy to just punch a few buttons, and like magic, you have money to play with when you run out. I will NEVER play on my S&S card again!! It'll be cash only for me from now on. I was a very bad girl on my cruise last week. Very bad. :o

My secret slot playing technique?

I find a nickle macine and put in a $20 bill................That's it!

If I can't win after $20, I won't win after $40 or $60 or more. And with the right nickle slot, I can play for at least 30 minutes if I'm lucky. I won't have won anything, but at least I had fun.

I agree. I have been on a few cruises. I make my money the first night and the last of the cruise. Everything else between I suck terribly.

I have to agree, in my personal experience, and those of friends we've sailed with, the first night of the cruise, the last night of the cruise, and sea days seem to pay out more. I won $500 on a sea day, my mother won $1500 about 5 minutes later! I won on a .25cent slot, my mom won on a $1 slot.

Always play max. If you don't play max, you can play longer, but you won't win "big", for the most part.

Although, I won $375 on Enchantment on night #3, so who really knows. :p

I have played slots only a certain machine though. It seems when the ship leaves it pays well, going to the ports etc. After the ship turns for home it seems the machines tighten up for the most part. Just my opinion and I only play one certain machine. Ive paid for two cruises with this as well.

There is absolutely NO such thing as a machine tightening up. They do not sneak around in the middle of the night and tighten the machines up, nor do they set the machines to pay out better the first days, etc. Slot machines are driven bt a random number generator. That machine has absolutely no idea what it did last pull and does not know what it will do next pull. People always tend to say a certain machine is hot and want to play it. Or, they may say another one is due...whatever. Supertstions, hunches and imaginations run rampant in the world of slot machine players...

How bad was the slot loss? Several hundreds? :o Five hundred? :( More?!?!?

To be honest, I didn't add it all up on the S&S bill. But it was more than $500. :o I had no idea I had punched the buttons for the magic cash that many times! I was a very bad girl. But it was fun! :p I definitely learned my lesson about the magic cash and will not make that mistake again. It'll be cash only for me from now on!

How true...

As was mentioned in another post, the random number generator is at the heart of the beast. There are no ways to beat a slot machine. It will beat you. Big payouts are random events and RARE events.

Casinos aren't charity organizations. There are on board to take your money and give it to someone else.

If you wanna play slots and have a better than average chance play the poker machines. At least with a poker machine there's an element of skill involved.
