What time does Atlantis (The Dig) close?

Hi,

We will be in Nassau next week. We arrive around 1:30PM and plan to go to the beach (BHC) until 5PM or so. Then, we will go back to the ship for a quick bite to eat and then visit Atlantis. The ship does not leave until 11PM.

Does anyone know what time the “The Dig/Aquarium” closes? I don’t see that information on the web site.

Thanks!

Usually after around 6ish the guard leaves and you can wander in for free.

We will be on carnival valor the last week in august. I would really like to go see the Atlantis, but the price thru carnival is 85 dollars and my hubby thinks we could do it cheaper. Does anyone know how much it would be to get there and how much is the admission for the digs? Also, this might be a really silly question but is the digs the same thing as the aquarium? I would appreciate any information and prices any one can give.:D :D :D

The $85 thru the ship is most likely the the "Digs" (yes it is an aquarium with the "ruins" of Atlantis throughout) and the beach. It does NOT include the pools/waterslides. You can do the digs for around $35 and go to the beach somewhere else. I'm not sure how late the Valor is in port but as stated above in the evening you can usually wander in for free.

BOBSFAMILY - Thank you for your help, the ship docks at 7am and departs at 2pm. Do you think that is enough time to go over and see the Atlantis? Thanks again!!!!!

Sure, that's enough time. Go via taxi or water taxi or do both. But there isn't a lot to see. You can visit the casino and the outdoor shopping area and you can view one side of the huge aquarium while you're in the lobby as it's behind the restaurant. But you won't be able to go inside the aquarium (the Digs) unless you purchase a tour ticket which is around $30/person. IMO, it's not worth it.

For those with ships in port late, security leaves shortly after it get dark which can be 8pm in summer but as early as 5pm in winter. Then The Digs are open and you can see it all for free. For free it's a nice aquarium.

KINGBOBOFTHENORTH- thanks for the information. Do you by any chance know how much the taxi's or water taxi's cost? Do they run all day?

Thanks

It is 3pp for water taxi... but you have a bit of a walk from where you are dropped off.

Land Taxi's are around 4-5pp and you are dropped off at the entrance.

You would have plenty of time to see the "digs".... just pay for it there.
