Hi All,

First things first this live from is open to all to post away, chat etc.

Next big thank you to all who sent messages, e mails etc will up date you all when I get results back,

So lets try again, taxi on way to take us to Edinburgh then a change at London and onto Barcelona, all being well we arrive a few hours before sailing.

Booked as a package through Princess so if we miss the ship etc Princess needs to look after us, get us to the ship etc. EU booking conditions apply.

Emerald Princess will always hold a special place in our hearts and memories,

Ok she is the ship that we did our longest cruise on, the ship that my luggage went missing on. But she is also the ship that we renewed our vows on, which lead us to having our own little TV show The Real Love Boat, which lead us to renew our vows again both times on our anniversary which resulted in us being the centre spread in a national newspaper.

Add in all the wonderful crew and fellow passengers we have met, and the Emerald Princess for us will always be a special ship.

So we travel this time with a few more pills in our luggage, a sign that we are getting a bit older, we have a birthday tomorrow to celebrate so chat about that tomorrow,

The only thing so far that has not gone right is no online check in for our flights,

So time to head off if I get the chance will post as we travel,,

Hi All

Arrived at airport main hall full you could feel the stress levels long queues everywhere. Spotted help desk was empty so walked straight up and asked if she could print luggage tags etc, no problem within seconds a queue formed behind me, baggage drop was just silly, systems were down, they started shouting flights saying you need to go now. Then the nice lady from help desk appeared and said l will take your bags just go.

Hi All

In London now, Edinburgh security amazing large new hall loads of lines to pick from no waiting. Nice new Airbus 320 couple next to looked like cruise folk so started chatting sure enough going to Emerald. Then Captain fog at London delayed not long. Landing in fog interesting as could not see runway so when wheels touched a few shouts as we did not know we were on the ground.

London not good got to go through security again lots of moans, but only one line in use queue out of sight folks saying sorry folks upset going to miss flights, they open another line but scanner not working everyone being searched.

But now at departures but check in is an hour after flight is meant to leave. Well just have to wait.

Guess were the flight before mine from Edinburgh was going.

H All

Well we made it, we were late boarding, fog kept us in London longer than we would have liked, when we got to check in the hall was empty apart from a couple of reps, our group was last to board, a dozen cruise cards during waiting for the last passengers, muster was over so our little group had our own muster, lots of folks have cruised with each other before, already a number of folks have asked did we cruise on the......... .

Medical issues seem to be following us, l had a small scratch on my leg which now has a bright red patch around it, so will need to keep an eye on it in case it's an infection.

Our table mates are a great bunch we all speak English and have different back grounds so plenty of stories to swap.

Today cc meeting followed by formal night.

Weather is warm, if a little cloudly, but to day is a lazy day with many folks recovering from long flights to get here.

First thoughts crew very friendly. Ship clean a few things showing wear but if it works does not need to be brand new.

Hi All

We are Malaga today temps high of 27 cloudy few rain drops, took princess shuttle into town as was told 15 minutes by bus, took a whole 5 minutes so walked back, nice walk good shops nice cruise terminal with some shops. Down town busy lots of shops cafes etc. Some nice parks etc.

Last time formal appeared well observed meal was the 50th menu, a few complaints appears ship is running out of wine, met one guy who said it took four attempts to get, we have that one,

Cc meet very busy may be 100 folks a few officers etc Captain did not make a speech but instead spent a fair bit of time meeting folks and chatting,

As to Emerald she is showing some signs of wear sun loungers some have been repaired have stains, etc some wall panels have been repaired, overall see up to Princess standards but l would say she is ready for a serious overall, if not standards will be compromised,

Put our names down for chefs table wait listed for first but been told will be more than one so good chance we will get in.

This morning the horror that all passengers fear struck the toliet was not working, caught room steward and with in minutes plumber was on seen and advised it was a ship issue and would be fixed soon,

Hi All

Sorry for not posting, internet is dead slow or none, left Madeira now doing crossing, weather very heavy rain on the island today, seas gentle swell slightly rougher seas ahead, made one of the chef tables,

As to ship strong nasty smell in hallway, loads of painting can not be much left to paint, crew are friendly happy to be going to Caribbean.
