Inside GTY cabin assigned 9 months before boarding

:):) Yes my cabin was assigned yesterday for the sailing on March 18, 2018 Exotic Southern Caribbean on board Celebrity Eclipse :):)

We was not to much lucky as I wanted, but We receive a minor upgrade a Inside cabin in deck 7 instead of deck 3 and before the final payment in December.

How much fun is that: to know where you will be sooner! You will be able to anticipate your cruise with newfound joy!

I had the same with a guarantee.

I asked my TA and was told that it is normal and I could keep the cabin hoping for some better upgrade (that is unusual when assigned that early) or choose one in the same category that may be more desirable. I choose the latter and picked one in a more desirable location. If I wasn't happy with the type of cabin to begin with I would have picked a higher category and paid more. I am not willing to waste my time or money on something that I wouldn't want to begin with.

The same happened to us; it was great! Now, you can move within your new category if there's one you'd rather have.

After reading this thread, I checked my reservation for a cruise in 2 1/2 months. Assgned cabin, still Inside but it's a 9 while we booked at 12 GTY. Right under the palestra though...
